Our Principal

Jesse Silvertown CPA, CA, (Canada) CFF (USA) is the Principal at Hesperus, the practice he founded after nearly 15 years in various senior finance roles. Jesse was the first CFO at a venture-backed consumer company, and an executive at Ernst & Young, where he chaired the M&A (east), private equity and sports forensics sectors, and co-chaired the Technology, Media and Entertainment sectors for his practice. Jesse is recognized as a leading forensic accountant in M&A. He has written for, or had his work quoted in, Sports Business Journal, Forbes, Washington Post, Law 360, Sports Illustrated, Bloomberg and many more outlets.

Jesse currently lives in New York City. He is a dual citizen of Canada and the United States and a graduate with distinction and on the Dean's from Ivey, the top-ranked Canadian business school.
