Jesse Silvertown CPA, CA, (Canada) CFF (USA) is the Principal at Hesperus, the practice he founded after nearly 15 years in various senior finance roles. Jesse was the first CFO at a venture-backed consumer company, and an executive at Ernst & Young, where he chaired the M&A (east), private equity and sports forensics sectors, and co-chaired the Technology, Media and Entertainment sectors for his practice. Jesse has written for, or had his work quoted in, Sports Business Journal, Sportico, Front Office Sports, Boardroom, Forbes, Washington Post, Law 360, Sports Illustrated, Bloomberg and many other outlets.
Jesse currently lives in New York City, but is a dual citizen of Canada and the United States. He earned an Honours of Business Administration with distinction from Ivey, the top-ranked Canadian business school, where he was a member of the Dean's List.
